I however cannot make those match, so they will contrast the original color (which I think looks cool!). These sections can be easily swapped by screwing them in and out. Fun! We love that! There is a LOT of amazing ink out there, but these will get you started. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eKeep in mind these colorful inks are water soluble,  and will \"wash out\" a bit if you spill water or coffee on your notes, letters, etc. So! If you need indelible ink for an address or important document, please pick \"document ink\" in black or blue since those are more water resistant. Thank you! \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese inks are made by Monteverde and I find they dry out a little slower than the Diamine inks I was using prior. This means your pen can stay uncapped for a little longer than before, but keep in mind, best to cap your pen when not using it to avoid a dried up nib! \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe color swatches are on computer paper and Tomoe River paper to show how much the color changes based on the type of paper you use. Funny, I actually like these colors way better on the computer paper than the Tomoe River paper! For those that don't use fountain pens often or are just getting started, the Tomoe River paper is a very thin, smooth writing paper with a cult following, but! It dries slower due to its coated nature. There is a whole world out there of inks and papers... I am just beginning to understand it myself! In fact, early Monoc designs utilized an integrated concept similar to the Monoc Evo — it quickly became clear, however, that an iterative approach would be the best way to execute that vision.  With the trade processes developed for the Monoc nib, along with the machinery, team, and new facility we now have in North Philadelphia, we have been able to design and produce the most impressive Schon DSGN pen to date — a true tour de force. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe Monoc Evo not only features an integrated titanium nib with an Ultem feed, but it also utilizes a piston fill mechanism which was entirely designed, engineered, and manufactured in-house. The piston is designed to be robust, with a seal design which was meticulously tested to ensure it will last for as long as possible before requiring service. Should the mechanism eventually require maintenance, the design was made to be serviced by our team here in Philadelphia (and eventually trusted nibsmiths\/pen repair technicians) with stock o-ring sizes (no custom seals) and a simple tool in order to ensure that the pen will have longest possible lifespan without complications for its current or future owners. This easy to use style of fill mechanism has been around for nearly 100 years, and it was a gratifying exercise to study past iterations in order to execute our own version and make our mark on the ongoing history of fountain pen development. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe inner body of the Evo is made from amber Ultem to display how much ink is left inside the pen, while the outer body is made from a thin and lightweight machined titanium exoskeleton that seamlessly blends into the nib.
